Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor |
Welcome! You’ve taken a courageous step toward making a change or addressing a challenge. Some stressors can become overwhelming and require someone without bias or judgment to support and encourage you.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and have a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in both private practice and community agency settings, including Christian counseling and a crisis residential program. My approach to counseling is founded in a strong therapeutic alliance between client and therapist. I employ treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered approach, mindfulness, empathetic listening, unconditional positive regard, and collaboration toward reaching a client’s unique goals. I have experience in treating symptoms of anxiety, depression, substance use, anger, trauma, grief, life-transitions, and severe persistent mental illness. I believe therapy should not be a mystery so I take the time to educate my clients about the techniques I use and invite clients to ask questions. I am passionate about learning new things and growing as a therapist, which is why I constantly seek out new development opportunities to share with my clients. I know that with the correct tools, you can succeed in making the desired changes and reach your goals. I look forward to collaborating with you. |
